Fabiana Romano, an insider view of Baselworld
Returning from the world's biggest watch trade fair, Fabiana Romano, OM Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, answers a set of questions by Watchonista.com - it's all about models, personalities, brands…
Your most unfortunate late arrival
At Ferragamo's party! I couldn't have felt worst when the organizer asked me “Did you like the show?” By the way... I was told it was great!
Your most remarkable meeting
The one with Bruno Belamich. I simply loved every single moment of it. He's a volcano and a perfect example of how someone so creative can also be business oriented!
Your best encounter
I was extremely pleased meeting Vincent Calabrese. And I was even happier because Maximilian Büsser was there as well. Two people I deeply appreciate and respect. No wonder they were able to give birth to the Starfleet Machine for the 175th anniversary of L'Épée 1839!
The most surprising brand, product, material or person
For the brand Manufacture Royale, for the product “Margot” by Christophe Claret, for the material the “Osmium Crystal” by Hublot, for the person Guido Terreni, Managing Director of Bulgari Watches.
Christophe Claret Margot
Something that struck you about the organization
Security. In both ways. I mean... you certainly felt secure but at the same time after 6 pm it was hell!
Your shortest night
They were all very short, indeed... But I really spent quality time with friends that unfortunately I cannot see very often, and we did party a whole lot!
Your longest day
Definitely Friday the 28th. I had my first meeting at 8.30 am and I went to bed the morning after at 5 am or so...
Your favorite watch
The Polio Watch. I love the idea that inspired it, and I care for the cause. I already got mine. Did you?
The contact you most look forward to following up on and to getting to know better
Jonatan Gil, the CEO of Dubey & Schaldenbrand. Le Coeur Blanc is such an awesome watch!
The sentence or words that got to you?
WE-ARE-LATE!
