Baselworld 2015: Milus Zetios Chronographe ZETC100 & ZETC101

Baselworld 2015: Milus Zetios Chronographe ZETC100 & ZETC101

Hoist your sails!

The Zetios Chronograph is back in the race this year with new decorative touches to liven up the collection's emblematic contrasts.  All the famous and fundamental elements that make the Zetios Chronographs immediately identifiable are in place: the classic equilibrium of the tricompax counters, with their large edges recalling dashboard instruments, or the double date aperture at 12 o'clock. The hour and minute hands, slightly curved and tipped with a luminescent mass, harmonize perfectly with the eleven tapered hour indices.  And last but not least, there is the checkered carbon fiber dial reminiscent of exciting car races...

This new Zetios celebrates the Milus sponsorship of the M2 Speed Tour regattas. So the logo of the event now appears boldly on the small hour totalizer at 6 o'clock, with its hand serving as the mast of this stylize sail.

The free use of colors on the somewhat severe backdrop of the dial suggests the flowing interplay of the wind and waves. The edges of the seconds and minute counters are blue, as are the minute markers at the edge of the dial and the pusher to start the chronograph.  And while the long, thin chrono hand measures out the time, your eye never loses track of the red hand of the small seconds ticking away at 3 o'clock.

Typical Zetios, as well, is the narrow bezel and the straight attachments that ensure the case's elegant and discreet look. The crown, with its lateral reinforcements, is large and easy to access. Inside the case beats a dependable Swiss automatic caliber with a frequency of 28,800 vph. The watch boasts 40-hour power reserve.

The Zetios Chronograph Edition M2 is a timepiece for all activities and all occasions, refined, contemporary, and ready for action on water or asphalt.  It comes as the ZETC100 on a blue alligator bracelet with cream-colored stitching. For the Zetios Chronograph 101 – reference number ZETC101 – white was chosen as the leading color for the minute markers, the edge of the minute counter and small seconds, and for the alligator bracelet, whose stitching is a flowing blue.
